KD is a business partner and logistics expert. We facilitate cost-effective accessibility by virtue of an established and well-functioning infrastructure. This means short lead times and optimised stock management. KD is currently one of Sweden’s two pharmaceutical distributors and manages supply of medicines, healthcare products and consumer goods. KD provides traceable, needs-based and effective logistics; from manufacturer to customer – which includes all Swedish pharmacies.

KD is a part of Oriola-KD Corporation established in July, 2006 as a result of a demerger of Orion Corporation and is listed at the Helsinki Stock Exchange since then.

In late 2007, Oriola-KD initiated a new corporate social responsibility programme used to allocate donations in a centralised manner for protecting the Baltic Sea: Oriola-KD is one of the main sponsors of the WWF’s Mermaid programme.

WWF started Operation Mermaid in 2001 to save the Baltic Sea – the world’s most polluted sea. Operation Mermaid takes effective action to solve the worst problems of the Baltic Sea, such as eutrophication and the risks of oil transportation. “Man needs seas. Seas needs man”, as the Operation Mermaid motto goes.
